MMJ13 – Celtic Lass

Here I am at Lizard’s Point with Anil and Indu. Hi, guys! I really hope either Anil or Indu is reading this as they were the FIRST of my Me Made Strangers to enquire as to the blog. Wave! Do leave a comment if you’re reading!

I’m wearing my Fields of Gold skirt, the indestructible first version of the Beignet skirt that will probably still be going in ten years time. I love it so. Excellent for walks on coastal paths!

Here I am, with the strangest of strangers I’ve ever met. The girl on the left has a sister who blogs about sewing. The man in the middle has a daughter who’s addicted to the Internet. Yeah, they’re my sister and dad! They’ve been very accommodating on this holiday. My sister’s first question this morning was, ‘What’s the plan about getting photographed with a stranger today?’ Yay! Me Made June recruits!

Other random photos from today:

As I type this blog, this is where I sit inhaling the scent of lilies:

We stopped at the Mullion Cove Hotel for lunch and they’ve allowed me to sit in one of their three lounges to work for an hour. I could happily be a ‘lady novelist’, living in a hotel like this, writing my novels by day and knitting shawls in the evenings. Sigh… In another life I was Daphne du Maurier.

Maybe one day in this life…

We are so loving following MadeMeJune in Cornwall: mmm….holiday by proxy! Sharing the lovely lily
scent with ours in our dining room, enough impetus for any Lancaster Lady to jack in the nine-to-five and
run to the hills – make me a painter! Shroppy Lad ‘n’ Lass

I am enjoying your pictures with all the friendly people you are meeting with the MMJ project. The effort you are expending to make the photos more than ordinary* is really showing and if you were in a contest, I would vote for you.

*I intend no insult intended towards the bloggers who are posting ‘ordinary pictures.’ It takes a lot of effort to create your own garments, and to document the fact that you are wearing them. Your photos are entertaining because I have gained a sense of anticipation–where is she now? And who will she be photographed with? Thank you for sharing the fun!
