Pattern Pyramid Posted!

It was time to send my Pattern Pyramid patterns flying around the world. So I settled down on the rug during my lunch hour and distributed the patterns into six piles, doing my best to ensure that everyone had a good mix:

Then I wrapped each parcel in whatever paper was to hand – some of it oddly unseasonal:

Out of the house and off to the post office…

Where everything got Jiffy bag-ed up and sent on their way:

I paid little attention to which patterns were going into which jiffy bag, so I truly have no idea what surprises await each winner.

Now, patience. Work your magic, Royal Mail! (Or, at least, perform better than you normally do.) Who knows how long it will take for these packages to reach their destinations. We have two UK addresses, so there may be a new giveaway fairly soon.

Keep your eyes peeled. A bunch of patterns could soon be on its way to you…

Ooooo – That’s so exciting! And I think your Christmas wrapping paper is oddly appropriate – after all, it will be like Christmas for the receivers when they unwrap your parcels!!!!

  2. Marie says:

Exciting! Let’s hope Royal Mail behaves! As for Christmas paper, well it sort of feels like it should be Christmas while I settle into my first winter down under! So you’re totally forgiven! :-)

  5. I’m presently totally out of love with postal systems, so it would be good if the Royal Mail delivers well and swiftly and I can start to believe in them again!

I am so looking forward to seeing what people make! I hope they do make things and not just stroke the patterns lovingly! ;)

  7. Sarah says:

This is such a great idea! The pattern pyramid labels are an inspired touch. Are you going to do a round up of the makes?

  8. Your post office looks exactly like my post office. Minus the 20 deep line of Uni students counting out change by the 20 cent piece.. Also minus winter.

  9. exciting. i wonder who will get what? just wondered how you took the pic in the post office? did you have to ask a random stranger?
