Matching PJ Inspiration

How awesome is this photograph? A reader, Vee, emailed to say that she’d made matching pyjama bottoms and tops with applique initials for the entire family. I love the wriggling bundle of joy atop Vee’s shoulders. I think the little one likes matching PJs!

Vee had been inspired by the Pyjama Party we had earlier in the year. She describes the family as a ‘modern Von Trapp’ in these outfits, and I couldn’t agree more – in the best possible way!

If you’re keen to do something similair, Vee recommends this link for applying initials to tops. Wouldn’t this make the perfect Christmas fun? Matching PJs all round? If you start now, you should have plenty of time! Just saying…

One last thing, apropos of nothing. Last night, I was in the studio audience for filming of Strictly Come Dancing. Tickets are like gold dust, but I was lucky enough to have a very lovely friend who has a very lovely friend who works at the BBC. It was the episode where celebrities find out who their dance partners will be. Yes, oh yes. I sat on a gilt and velvet chair in the BBC studios in West London and watched Tess and Bruce do their thing, along with a bunch of celebrities and dancers. I was basically in heaven. I’ve already picked my favourite!

Me outside the studio. Yes, that is a tardis.

Hurray for lovely friends! Hurray for velvet-and-gilt chairs! Hurray for a chance to watch live performances of one of your favorite art forms (I remember a photo you posted of yourself in dance class, as a child). Hurray for the TARDIS! We need more celebrations in our lives — at least, we need to celebrate things in our lives more often — oh, I can’t explain what I’m trying to say. Not all celebrations have to be about Big Things. Glad you got to go.

Oh my goodness, I’m so jealous of your Strictly experience. I seriously can’t wait until Saturday evening, I love it! Strictly and Dr Who – a perfect Saturday evening as far as I’m concerned!

  7. How exciting! And oh my gosh, THE TARDIS, THE TARDIS! :)

  8. Oooohhh- Strictly’s on soon!! I got the email to enter for tickets last week and forgot. Numpty :( But the random draw is still on the BBC tickets website. Hurrah!
(I’m figuring if I let you and your readers know then, despite reducing my random draw chances, it’ll be seen as good karma and will guarantee a pair of tickets swing my way? ;))

Television Centre is awesome isn’t it? :D (Also, did you spot the famous names in slabs outside??)
I’ve been to a few tapings there, and one year they had a dalek next to a Christmas tree!
