I have a very good reason for not sewing this weekend:
Yes, that loon wearing the 6852 number and turquoise running shirt (no, not hand made by moi, courtesy of a sports conglomeration) is yours truly setting out on the Stratford-upon-Avon Half Marathon. Birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford has now borne witness to my blisters, bruised toe nails, sore muscles and post-race pizza consumption. A good time was had by all. I can’t believe how much I’m grinning in that photo, when I know I have 13.1 miles ahead of me!
Exciting sewing blog posts to come:
- At the weekend I am going to the Victoria and Albert museum in Kensington, London to visit their lauded quilt exhibition and also their Grace Kelly exhibition, where I hope to get up close and personal with this legendary actress’s outfits. If I’m allowed to take photos, I will – and I’ll certainly blog about this day out.
- Interview with a Craft Editor. I’ve asked the questions that matter and soon I’ll be posting the answers. I hope we’ll all get a glimpse into the world of a commissioning editor and what makes a great Craft Author and Craft Book.
All this to come. Plus, dare I suggest … some sewing!
Well done running a half marathon! You must be tired but pleased.
Congrats on the half-marathon!!!
Props to you! What a runner! That is so fantastic! Congrats! I can’t wait to see your posts on the exhibitions!
