Reason no. 1: visiting a location from one of my favourite films, When Harry Met Sally.
Reason no. 2: Negotiating the New York subway.
Reason no. 3: Admiring the impressive snow fall here.
Reason no. 4: Sitting in an ‘electric chair’.
We were wandering around a bit aimlessly. I pointed out a cigar shop and said I’d pop inside to ask for bar recommendations. I tell you, that’s the last time I listen to a cigar seller. He directed us to the ‘Jekyll and Hide’. Yeah, we should have known from the name. A theme bar, devoted to the macabre, complete with an electric chair that I just had to try. What a schmuck. (There’s a giant dinosaur above my head, just out of shot.) Some people come to New York, and do the culture. I pay two dollars to have electricity pumped through my hands…
Creepy!! Was it actually used for executions, or was it a reproduction?
When I saw the title of your post, I thought it meant you had enough of sewing!
I love that last picture! Looks like you are having fun.
I love following your blog, and I just wanted to mention that Vogue patterns is having a sale on their website. Most patterns are $5.99 which is a great deal in my book. Cheers!
