The nurse’s outfit has been made, ready for tonight’s Murder Mystery Dinner. Thank you very much for all your comments, suggestions and web links! I followed Macdoodles suggestions for how to make my veil. My lovely boyfriend helped me by painting on my red crosses with fabric paint. I knew I wouldn’t be patient enough for this amount of precision:
I used some really cheap, but pristine white cotton off Walthamstow market. I didn’t properly measure anything – it was all done by eye and on a wing and a prayer.
Once completed, I took myself up to the local hospital for a quick photoshoot:
I am now going to have a sit down and recover from the SHOCK of mens’ reactions to what is, after all, a very demure nurse’s outfit. Let’s just say, I drew my fair share of attention. Oh well, if I will insist on making a fool of myself in public…!
Just brilliant!! You always make me smile 🙂 I can’t believe (actually with you, I can!) that you went “on location” for your photoshoot, lol!
Px
I was wondering how many horns sounded as you stood on location!
Your dedication to procuring photos is admirable!
Your boyfriend’s masking made me smile, he clearly took the task extremely seriously.
I love it Karen, what a great outfit! And your boyfriend’s precision with the cross is so cute! Great location pic too ;o)
How freakin’ cute is that?! Just like the others, I commend you for going on location. However, you were quite lucky that no one needed medical attention at that point in time. You may have ended up in a bad spot 😉
Have fun in at your dinner!
Hope you have a current first aid certificate Karen, in case you are called on to minister to one of your fellow diners! Can’t help wondering though, is your boyfriend going too and, if so, what is he wearing?
Absolutely fantastic! Have a fab night x
Have fun, or at least get very drunk!! Well done for going on location – you have more bravery than me!
I love it- now please enjoy your evening!
Wonderful. And I hope that it’s properly appreciated by whoever invited you to that jolly dinner in the first place!
So , the boyfriend’s eagerness to help make the costume didn’t tip you off to pending reactions then? And is he still hoping?
LOVE IT!
How sweet that your boyfriend supports your endevors! I hope the party was great fun, and you look fantastic!
Great costume!!! Love it.
