HTML Housekeeping

My lovely reader, Lucy, has kindly supplied a Pyjama Party HTML for inserting a clickable button link in your sidebar.

The code is:

<a href=”http://didyoumakethat.wordpress.com/tag/pyjama-party/“><img src=”https://didyoumakethat.com/2012/04/pyjama-party-button.jpg?w=125&amp;h=125” /></a>

I’m a WordPress gal, so can supply instructions for inserting this on a WordPress blog:

  1. Click on the Dashboard.
  2. Under the ‘Appearance’ option go to ‘Widgets’ Drag a text box into your Primary Widget Area.
  3. Click on the newly positioned text widget, paste the below code into the large box and press save.

Can anyone supply similair instructions for Blogger?

Thanks so much! Coming up, news of my pyjama fabric choice – and a radical decision to cut out on the cross grain.

    For Blogger (new interface):
    1. go to Layout
    2. click “Add a gadget” on a suitable space – a popup will appear
    3. scroll down to “HTML/JavaScript”, and click it
    4. write a title and copy/paste the snippet
    5. click save – the popup will close
    6. click “Save arrangement” on the blogger page

  3. For Dreamwidth or LJ/IJ/DJ/etc. the code needs altering a little bit:

    <a href=”http://didyoumakethat.wordpress.com/tag/pyjama-party/”> <img src=”https://didyoumakethat.com/2012/04/pyjama-party-button.jpg” w=125 h=125> </a>

And then it needs putting in the custom text box for (one of) your sidebar(s) in whichever of the myriad plces you can access that from.

Also, hello, I guess I’ve stopped lurking.

  4. thank you, I’m such an idiot when it comes to technology. But now I have my button!

Bleurgh, I can’t make the button work :(. Probably my fault, I’m new at all this blogging malarky, but hey, who needs a button when they will very soon have some sexy new pjs? Ax
