Crafty Pint are holding a Christmas crafting session on 1 December, and I’ve already booked my ticket!
I first attended a Crafty Pint last December, when I went with Leopard Anchor and Huggie Does Homespun. It feels a lifetime ago (Leopard Anchor has since relocated to Canada) but I have very fond memories of that afternoon. The space is lovely, there’s a bar if you fancy a tipple, cake stall for the necessary sugar hoovering and loads of craft activities. Last time, I did pottery painting and made myself a couple of necklaces. I really recommend it!
Does anyone else fancy coming along this December? The Crafty Pints are held in Tooting, South London – it’s nice to get out of central London.
Tonight I am knitting and watching The Great British Bake Off – heaven. I never know if it’s going to be a knitting or sewing evening until I wander into the living room. I’ll either stray towards the sofa and the knitting needles or towards the other end of the room, where the sewing machine sits. Is it the same for you?
The Crafty Pint event looks great I’d love to come along. I’m knitting and watching the Great British Bake Off too!
Yay! Don’t drop a stitch!
So I got to the end of this blog post and squealed OH great British bake off! Good thing I’ve got the whole thing on series record eh? Crafty pint looks ace but its a bit close to my due date. I might see how I am closer to the time if that’s cool?
PS I will be crocheting throughout
Of course!
I’d love to come but I have our school Christmas fair that day and as soon to be chair of the PTA , I think it is rather expected that I be there!
Ooooh, The Tram is one of my favourite places to go, it’s so close to where I live. I had no idea they did crafty events, most of time there has been spent indulging in a tipple or two (definitely not getting totally inebriated and taking a trip to the kebab shop next door. Ahem!) I’ll definitely stick this one in my diary. xx
Ooh, great, will be lovely to meet you!
Sometimes I wish I lived in London!
Not heard of this before – but I’ve just booked my ticket – see ya there peops. (P.S. Their blog has a pic of you from 2011 Karen – handmadeintooting.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/huggiedoeshomespun2.jpg?w=455&h=606&h=606 :))
Ha! I took that pic!! Cheeky smile there on Karen
Hehe sounds a lot like my evening! I really fancy a Bakewell bun now….!
I’m so sad I can’t come this year, the journey is a little too far this time. Last year’s Crafty Pint was one of my favourite festive activities. The venue is sooooo good!
Please have a cake on my behalf!
The Crafty Pint sounds wonderful. Does anyone know of anything similar in Lancashire?
Oh that Crafty Pint sounds so fun! For me it’s a clear decision on sewing v. knitting. My sewing area is in the basement, and I keep my knitting upstairs (usually sitting on the sofa).
Now I’m hungry for cake!
That sounds like a wonderful thing to do. I don’t envy the cold weather that will accompany it but I’m sure I’d enjoy the outing.
Thanks all of you for the lovely comments about Xmas Pint. Much appreciated. Look forward to seeing you! xx
ooh, that sounds like fun! i will check if i can make it. would be lovely to see you again karen!
I’ve just booked my ticket – plus three extras so I can bring some sewing friends along with me. Look out for the girls from Bedford… I’m already a little too excited about a) selfish day trip to London (i.e. not consisting of taking my little girls to Natural History Museum) and b) entire day to indulge in crafty stuff and yummy treats.
Ooh, fabulous! Can’t wait to meet you.
The great British Bake-off; sounds like fun! Your evening, whether knitting or sewing, seems absolutely perfect to me 🙂
I wondered why my blog was strangely popular today! LOL Awww look at us, so…’2011′. I’ll come along I would think! and will bring Amy.
