I can hardly believe it. A few days ago I didn’t know I needed this book in my life, then Black & White Publishing got in touch. Would you like a review copy of Knit Your Own Scotland? It’s proving quite popular…
The book arrived and my world just became shinier and happier.
What can I tell you about Knit Your Own Scotland? It’s a work of comic genius. It’s bang up-to-date with some very contemporary Scotsmen and details of their achievements…
It’s educational! I’d never heard of Scotch pies (you can knit one) and learnt all about Bonnie Prince Charlie (died in Rome in 1788, peeps!).
It covers all the most important Scottish personalities…
I know several people who would leap at the opportunity to knit something from this. Teen Granny is known for knitting Prince William and a version of her own mum. There’s a lady in Walthamstow who knit the Olympics and apparently recently knit Halloween figures for her front lawn. Who else wants to knit their own friends?
You can buy the book here. Wouldn’t this make the perfect Christmas gift for the knitter in your life?
Or, you can enter my giveaway. I’m willing to send this book worldwide. Leave a comment below telling me which famous figure you’d love to knit. The giveaway ends on Friday 23 November at midnight GMT. Get those knitting needles out!
Thank you, Black & White, for this touch of joy.
STOP PRESS! There are two new Pattern Pyramid giveaways, which take us up to a total of 30 giveaways. How nice are we to each other? House of Pinheiro is hosting her giveaway here where she’s added a snuggly coat, and Tropical Threads has a giveaway here. Hurrah!
