This Christmas shall mainly be spent frogging my Miette cardigan. It’s too small. That’s okay. Much better to realise now, than plunge on into weeks or months of wasted work. And we all know, knitting is much more about the process than the Finished Object. The calming, meditative back and forth.

I need something to do, anyway. My dad and two sisters have taken Ella for another walk. Because, you know, it takes three adults to walk one puppy…

I leave you with a frog inspired ear worm. We all stand together!

  1. That’s a shame about the frogging. My Miette could have stood to be a smidge bigger, but not so much it’s not wearable.

I LOVE that song. Haven’t heard it in SO long. My dad got me a signed copy of it (on actual single record) when I was little.

It’s always horrible to rip out your hard work but as you say, better to listen to that niggling voice telling you that it’s not right. That bright red is gorgeous.

Oh no! What a shame, but as you say, its much better to discover now that its too small rather than after weeks of work.

Alas! I adore that pattern but it doesn’t come in my size… Is it smaller than the pattern sizing suggests? … fingers crossed…

bugger – that is so annoying with knitting. Did you do a swatch? I never make a swatch, I just knit and hope it will be ok, gonna get burnt soon I know it!

My grandmother and I now have a motto which came from my grandpa watching her frog some yarny creation: We don’t use up yarn; we just wear it out.
