No further words needed. If you also want Patrick to win, feel free to grab the code below and add the button to your sewing blog! Look at that beardy face – he needs our support.

Too funny! But unfortunately,I have an aversion to facial hair on men – bad matrimonial experience, but you don’t want to hear about that!
2nd instalment tomorrow – can’t wait!!!!!
At least I found someone else with the same beard aversion as me! Thanks for reassuring me… I really thought I was the only one!
Ha, ha, ha! I’m almost too scared to ask what trauma he gave you…!
I would like to strongly disagree with your post…..WE, the viewers are the winners….because we get to watch Patrick…and Sandra is probably the biggest winner, getting to check out his bottom allegedly for professional trouser-making reasons 😉
We’ll believe her, thousands wouldn’t! 😉
He’s not a contestant – he’s a judge! I’m not sure who I would like to win, but I think the wrong person left last week. Looking forward to the next episode though.
I know, I’m sorry! Sometimes I’m too ironic for my own good!
Thank God, I was seriously thinking we’d all pick sides now, and this would be the debate to finally split the harmonious sewing community! I do like his facial hair, though. I’m already sad there’s only three more episodes to go…
I agree. The wrong person had to leave.
I just want to know why you’re not in it.
Whee!! I found the first episode on youtube. We don’t have it in Canada anywhere else as far as I know.
So excited that I get to see this!
Patrick is impeccable. I want to go fabric shopping with him. Then stop for tea as we look over our purchases. Too much?
Um, NO! There are WAY more things I would want to do…..all strictly sewing related of course…
Ha ha! If only my husband would figure out that talking about fabric and sewing is hawt… Come on! Facing, pressing, bust darts.
Maybe, that’s another post…
i’m in canada, too, and was sad that i couldn’t watch anything on bbc online, so thanks for telling us you found it on youtube – now i can watch the contestants and the terribly dashing patrick 🙂
this is my oasis on Tuesdays – and no, I remain on team Tilly!!!
I just love that! He is quite stylish in a strange sort of way, but he kind of freaks me out!
I’M ON TEAM PATRICK!!!
Just put the button up on my blog… thanks for this amazeballs idea, i love it!
BoooHoo! BBC won’t let us American’s watch it! Sounds like so much fun! I’m so sad cause this year’s project runway is blah!!!!
Thank you so much for posting this link!
Gah! Now I can’t wait till the next episode! Thanks for posting the link–I was so tense there at the end! And on a side note, I am so impressed that everyone managed to complete those projects within the time frame.
I can’t wait either! When does the next episode air in Britain? Hanging for someone to share the next episode 😀 Pleeeease….
Thank you thank you thank you! Now I finally know what everyone’s talking (writing) about.
THANK YOU!!! Watched it yesterday and it was the BEST EVER!!! Wonderful wonderful show!!
Yay Karen! Brilliant.
Dont you think he looks abit like Mr. Selfridge? Sadly he hasnt got my vote, but love his outfit
A little bit. I also think Tilly looks like the actress character in Mr Selfridge – they share the same dimples.
His beard is gorgeous! xXx
Hilarious! I ashamed to admit that I was so excited about the sewing and Tilly and the others, I never even noticed that Patrick was good looking until I read all the blogs and twitter comments AFTER the show had finished!
Helen, I’m astounded! were you watching it with your eyes closed?! x
I’m the same as Helen. Second time around though I am primed to admire.
Re beards: they might reduce access to a gent’s upper lip but they are still the business. Stop being prickly after they’ve grown in.
Yay, added it to mine too! It’s pretty obvious though why he has a beard – I reckon he would look all of 16 without it. 😉
He’s pretty yummy AND knows about sewing too #swoon – love the button!

I am hoping that Marc and Ann unite to form an indestructible force of sewing charm and chops. I love his sweet Steampunkness (he and his wife sew in front of the telly together!) and Ann’s redoubtable British can-do-ness. They are my new superheroes!
love it x
I might have read too much into the first episode but I’m sure I caught Paddy giving Tilly the eye, if you know what I mean. Anyone else notice?
He’s gorgeous. Don’t you just love a well turned out man with a dry sense of humour?
You detected a frisson?! Only Tilly knows the truth…
Grooming like that -sigh – will it ever come to a High Street near me?!
Did I see a brief snippet of a trailer in which Sandra was checking out the hang of Patrick’s trousers (specifically his sit-upon area) as part of this week’s Trouser Challenge? Or was that just a dream? I feel a swoon coming on – be so kind as to pass the smelling salts, lead me to a chaise longue and throw a blanket over me. Now, carry on and don’t mind me…
Much as I think Patrick is gorgeous, I’m rooting for Ann!
harumph. i guess i know what happened… i gotta catch up!

I’m rooting for Ann too. She is amazing and so stunning! But even so there is nothing wrong with looking at Mr Patrick. 😉
He is a bit funny though – suggesting to a 91 year old woman making a dress for a 50+ yo woman that the sleeve should have finished above the elbow. Ladies ‘of a certain age’ do NOT show their elbows and knees!!! 😉
I couldn’t believe he had the audacity to tell Ann how long her sleeves should be…
These comments are hilarious!
I only EVER marry men with beards 😀
I want to do terrible, wonderful things to that man. TERRIBLE AND WONDERFUL.
Bow ties are cool, the doctor has said it x
Ha ha…my hubby has a beard, can talk sewing till the cows come home and will go fabric shopping. If only he was 7 feet tall and could tailor….;-)
Hee, you’re cute, Karen! I think Patrick would blush if he saw this button. 🙂
Oh, I was so afraid we were going to be asked to take sides. Phew. Which is pretty much what we all think about Patrick. It has been interesting to see what the BBC picked as the ‘cream’ of amateur sewers.
Anybody else agree they would have palpitations having to sew under that time pressure – and with someone looking over your shoulder?
Patrick is just not my sort at all, you can have him!
I’d like Sandra to win.
Yay! Just got to watch the episode on YT, as it’s not in Canada. Great show, I hope it has a long run. I love the attention to detail. Yes, I agree, Patrick should win. Mmmm…Patrick.
Thanks to MadebyMeg for posting the link, I watched this with pleasure! What a pity they have to eliminate candidates… As for Patrick. Mh. Yes, I see what you mean. Interesting. Yes. By all means, yes. Truth is, I just find him perhaps a tiny tad to tidy (I’ll try to read that aloud several times very quickly, now). Don’t you want to ruffle his hair a little? OK, don’t answer that, I know you want to, Karen :D.

he’s handsome!
I don’t think we get the show here in the States, so I may have to see if the episodes are online. Is it similar to Project Runway?
