Happy New Year, guys! You won’t find a year review or any resolutions here, I’m afraid. I have no wish to glance back at 2014 and I’m not one for setting myself unnecessary deadlines or obligations. So I’m winging it for another year. Come along and enjoy the journey. Deal? Deal!
This outfit is entirely inspired by other bloggers. I’ve really admired how Scruffy Badger teams her Ultimate Trousers with Coco tops and, well, I copied her! Just after I bought my ponte roma, Tilly reminded us of her Sixties Stripe Coco and, well, I copied her!
Both of these fabrics were bought at Saeed Fabrics in Walthamstow. The ponte in particular is super-lovely and I’m tempted to go back for another two metres. Saeeds have extended their shop and they’re clearly upping their game in terms of stock. It’s well worth a visit.
The denim is lightweight as I didn’t think the Ultimate Trousers would stand stiff, thick denim. I gave my trousers a generous 2cm seam allowance on the outside as I wanted to embrace the cigarette trouser silhouette. With the denim’s tiny bit of stretch, this really wasn’t a problem. I used pink top stitching to hem the trousers – the perfect tiny detail.
An uber comfortable outfit to see in 2015. The sun is out and I’m off to enjoy it!
