Beautiful sentences xI recently ran a ten day campaign on Twitter and Instagram posting ten of the most beautiful sentences in sewing, along with accompanying images. Some of the ‘sentences’ could have been genuine quotes; others most definitely came from the land of fantasy. I had huge fun making them up. It was even more fun to see which of the sentences resonated the most.  Can you guess which sentence received the most likes on Instagram? It was this one…

    I take my pattern sheets to a specialist copy shop then I cut the pattern pieces out of the photocopy. No tracing required. The small cost is totally worth not having to trace.

  23. I really like the ‘Comes with pockets’ one 🙂 I was amazed (and very pleased) when both the patterns I bought (a skirt and pyjamas) came with pockets 😀

    seeing all these comments make me think to start a Burda pattern tracing service… I really enjoy the process and find it quite relaxing!!! I can’t be the only one? Or am I?!?

    Similar to the Burda tracing but mine would be someone offering to cut out and tape a PDF pattern together, especially if it was Patrick Grant 😉

    or the one that makes me twitch with anger and I so wish it were true:

    “Fabric guaranteed to still be on grain after you pre-wash it, or we’ll come to your house and straighten the grain for you.”

    Perfect, flattering, arse reducing fit guaranteed. Never tried to trace a Burda pattern, too many lines make my eyes go funny.
